Non Chemical

Has anyone found a good non chemical way of preventing / treating powdery mildew, white fly's, aphids, flea beetles and other minor insects with out
nuking them with chemicals ?
Tried Hot Pepper Wax, Baking Soda, Dishwashing liquid, Ultra Fine, Oils, Kelp, and Lady bugs at different times with no success.
I would like to try not to nuke everything in the soil this year.
Does systemic insecticides kill off good microbes and beneficial's in the soil ?
