RE: Non Chemical
You might consider Green Light fruit and vegetable spray. It is a product
made from Neem oil. Neem is a tree native to India and the oil is from it's
seeds. There are other Neem oil products on the market but Green Light is
the only brand name that comes to mind right now. I've used it for a few
years on my roses and it takes care of the aphids and white flies, it also
is a fungicide. It is supposed to work on spider mites as well, but you
have to really get to the undersides of the leaves to get rid of those
nasties. It smells awful but seems to work pretty well. Better for the
insects than the mildew in my experience, but I haven't had to use it on the
pumpkins for mildew yet.
