SR update
The 954 Barenchi 00 in patch #1 has 8-9 leaves now, lovely green except
for the big early one. So much tiny stuff curled up and bunched up at
the center that my pore ol eyes can't distinguish whether they're more
leaves (!), a vine or what.
Man, the weeds! There's something that grows in green bunches, a tiny
double green leaf, so cute and deceptive. Pinch it at soil level and
pull gently, up comes a "bean sprout" looking root 2-1/2 inches long.
The 815 Andersen is still pokey in patch #2. I think it's gonna be all
right.
The 747 LaRue is in a 3-inch peat pot giving me great optimism.
The 896 Wells is being temperamental but I believe.
The P&P 1-ton cross is still wrapped in its paper towel in its baggie in
a warm spot looking deader than Marlow. Still hate to throw it out -
it's the one seed I paid for, for pete's sake.
Back to the patch! Kathie
