Re: help

that is what i thought, i was just a little concerned that the mother fruit was a bit light in colour.  I think i know where the 842 is going! and the 995 carter... and the daletas, girgus etc!!!

If i get a 1000lber i will be very pleased indeed, and you'll all be welcome to a seed or two!!!, even if i don't get one that big.  By the way, is anyone on the list intending to give my seeds ago, even if they don't put much effort in?

Chris,

Based strictly on my knowledge of genetics (and I am no expert), I would say both Mitchell seeds look like they will provide great color, as should the Carter, Daletas and Girgus seeds.  The Christensen seed also sounds promising.

As for crosses, I don’t immediately see any potential for the Hybrid vigor crosses that have been discussed.  I might cross the Christensen genetics with the 1107, since they are two totally different genetic backgrounds, both with good color.  Or you might try crossing one of the Mitchell seeds with the Girgus seeds since they have the same mothers, don’t know any genetic theories on that though.

No matter what you decide to do, you have some great seed stock that at least I envy.  Your selections indicate you probably can’t have any terrible crosses, so consider this a request for seeds from the first UK 1000+ pounder!
