Re: Emergency Seeds

My husband and I file the sides of the seeds, soak them in warm water overnight, followed by a quick dose in 10 to 1 bleach, then into moist soil.... we have been able to germinate everything we have planted to date. Hope this info helps.

Subject: Emergency Seeds

Does anyone have some seeds they are willing to part with? I am trying to
germinate the seeds for my second patch, and my success rate is very bad.
All my seeds came from two good growers, but some of the seeds were old. I
have no seeds left, and I am not sure if the remaining seeds I have are
going to germinate, because they have not show any activity yet in 4 days.

I dont mind paying, but that will add another week to this, so if you want
me to pay, I guess I would appreciate the honor system so I can send the
payment at the same time you send the seeds. In giant pumpkin growing, we
all know timing is everything. So I guess small donations are preferred, and
I can reciprocate with some of my seeds next year, of if you dont want
them, I can send some to someone else who is in need.

Also, anyone have some failproof germ. procedures. I have been using both
damp paper towel in cup and cd case. Both in 85 degrees.

Thanks so much.

oh, my address is:

1522 East Big Beaver Road
Troy, Michigan
48083

Thanks again.
