Re: Sprouted seed freebies

Please, I would be happy to take 1 or 2. We just moved and I wasn't sure
if I would have a good patch this year. However, I have a very sunny spot
that is perfect, but no seeds.

Well, out here in Colville, Washington I just planted 9 seeds that
  sprouted
after a 12hr soak in water and 2 days in a damp paper towel in a
  sandwich bag.
These were 3 yr old seeds I thought were probably the most unlikely
  to sprout.
I never put them in a freezer, just sitting in an airtight jar in a
  drawer the whole time.

So, silly me, I just grabbed a handful (18) and soaked them for the
  heck of it
thinking maybe one or two would sprout. Well, they all did except
  for about 4 so far.
You know, these are the seeds you usually toss out because they are
  thin and you
figure they are no good and not like the big fat premium ones you
  might get from
  the premium suppliers.

Now what do I do with them? Anybody want some seeds already
  sprouted?

These are a cross of 1042 Companion and 1101 Northrup circa 2003.

They would be going great by the end of this week. It's not too
late. Hey, they are guaranteed to grow now. No doubt about that.

I would recommend overnight if anyone's willing to pay the FedEx
  bill.
But first class mail would still get them there by Saturday.

The seeds themselves are freebies already sprouted and going strong.
First roots are about a half inch right now on three of them.
Two have just little 1/16" points sticking out. By Saturday they
  would be an inch long.

I will have to toss them if nobody speaks up. I can send them in a
  well padded bubble pack
in a damp paper towel to keep them going. Just give me an address.
  First 5 people
that speak up get them, one each unless someone wants more than one.
