Re: Fertilizer

Hi Everyone
I have been reading the letters on fertilizer with great interest.  I have
been growing pumpkins, as well as other fall harvest crops for the last 4
years.  I am a small-market grower.  I have 5 acres, but am currently growing
on 2.5acres.  Could someone tell me about fertilizer for acreage use?  How
much should I use and when during the season?  My soil test said soil is
lacking pretty much everything (- the land has been farmed for many years and
the farmer puts in just the fertilizer he needs for that year.)  In the past
years I have been putting down 10-10-10 garden fertilizer from garden store,
but never sure how much to use or if there is something else that would be
better to use.  We grow all kinds of pumpkins(all sizes), gourds, winter
squash, and in another area Indian corn.
Any help, of any kind would be great!
