Karin,

The world record pumpkin is still 1061.0 lb (481.2 Kg) grown by Paula &
Nathan Zehr of Lowville NY.  It was entered at the World Pumpkin
Confederation "World Pumpkin Weigh-Off" in Clarence, NY on October 5, 1996.
 The challenge to grow a 1,000 lb pumpkin was a 10 year commitment for World
Pumpkin Confederation Club Members.  Next stop is 500 Kg.
