Kurt,

In regards to your question's concerning fertilizing, this is the schedule I
use during the season.

       1) 15-30-15 May,15-June,10. The middle # ( Phosphorous) is for early
season 
            root development.
       2) 20-20-20 June, 17-July,30. I use a balanced formular for leaf and
vine growth
           during pollination July, 1-15 I cut back the fertilizers to every
other week.
       3) 15-11-29 August,1-Sept,29. The end # Potassium is for the
development of 
            carbohydrates in the pumpkin.

           I use Peters water solubles once a week( every 2 weeks during
pollination) It 
           is applied at 250 ppm.
