I have been having problem germinating my seeds. I tried two different
methods with no luck.
I filed the edges of 8 different seeds (I did not file the end). I then
soaked
them in luke warm water for 1.5 hours. Next I put them in wet paper
towel
and put them into individual zip lock bags. I then put them on my
boiler where
it is warm. I started all this last Monday (April 28th) and no roots
have started
to emerge. Have I done something wrong? Could it be too warm? Do I
need
to give them more time? I find it hard to believe that these seeds,
which came
from 4 different sources could all be bad. Any advice would be greatly
appreciated.
At the same time as the paper towel method I planted 8 seeds in two one
gallon
buckets (4 in each). I do plan on only keeping one per bucket. I put
them one
inch deep, point facing down into the soil. I then water them well,
covered them
with a plastic bag and put them on my boiler. I planted these April
28th and
nothing has popped up. I did not soak or file these seeds. Can they be
dug
up, filed, soaked and replanted?
Are any of the above seeds usable at this point? I do have some other
seeds
that I did not use. I plan on devoting tonight to my seeds. Any and
all advice
would be greatly appreciated.
