Pansies

Not you guys...my flowers. I know I'm not on subject, but I have a question
I know someone on this list can answer. Like everyone else here in
Charlotte, I'm growing pansies. Mine were planted in early September last
year. They overwintered and are now as lush as they can be (I take very
good care of them). I have one large container of plants that came up from
seed. Seeds fell from a hanging pansy basket into this container and much
to my surprise, sprouted. I have one plant with colors different than all
the rest and nothing like what was originally purchased. The other plants
are all a purple and white mix; the plant I'm referring to is purple with an
intricate yellow design in the center of each flower...they're gorgeous. I
want to know how to get seeds from this plant. I think I know where the
seeds are...do I have to wait until the flower dies off before the seeds are
mature? I'd really like to collect seeds and grow new pansies this fall.

My pumpkin seeds were set in peat pots about 10 days ago. I have 4
different varieties of seeds. The first seedlings emerged after a
week...now all varieties have germinated. The seedlings are now sitting
outside on my patio to harden. Nothing special was done to them, except for
the application of plant food. Now all I have to do is convince Mr. Hancock
that it's time to till my patch. I'd like to have the entire back yard...it
would save on his mowing. He's balking. So, what's the problem???
