Or. Update

Growers,
Hello again, Just a quick one this week. 90+ degrees today in the patch, and
cloches have thier tops all the way off. Record highs for the next three
days are probable, but will leave cloches up just in case the weather cools
off again.
Site #1- Transplanted the doubleplanted 627 from Site #4, it lived and is
growing again. Also put in a newly started 500+ Mombert just in case. Both
are doing well, no signs of stem splits.
Site #2- The #827 is doing great, holding steady behind the Site #4 627 and
the transplanted Site #1 627. has fourth leaf opening now.
Site #3- The #850 is doing not so good. New growth looks inhibited somehow,
praying its not the mosiac starting again. If so, that plant is comming out
quick. Still have another #627 and a #443 LaRue in seed starting pots if the
#850 doesn't come out of its funk in next 4 days.
Site #4- This #627 is all alone now in its cloche. It has 5 open true
leaves and lots more on the way. It is shattering all my previous growth
rate records, which were set by its mom the #910 Nelson plant I grew in 1995.
I'm getting nervous though, grandpa claimed this plant for his weigh-off
pumpkin back when the seeds first broke soil.
Squash site- The #671 Stellpflug is doing fine and is loving the weather.
Giant Kohlrobi, corn, sunflowers, cabbage, rutebegas, turnips, carrots,
parsnips, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, radishes, onions,
garlic, beets, beans, and of course watermelons are in and doing just great.
Take care all, Brett The Pumpkinguru
