Regarding your post about the seedlings you have, I am interested in
understanding how you determined a mutation so early on? Can you explain? What
denotes mutation? Thanks.

I am asking because two of my seedlings had curled dicot leaves and I was
certain they would fail. I kept the water and compost coming and they snapped
out of it....it turned out to be a termite infestation. Both plants are
handsome and I am glad I didn't cull them now.

By mutated I mean the plant is growing in some unnatural form or shape. It is
growing only 12" from another plant that is doing great (1006), so growing
conditions are not a factor. The 977 came up with only one seed leaf, (can't
remember what you call them). Growth rate was very slow, and it produced a
true leaf and tried to start producing a vine, but all this was in miniature.
This would make me feel like it was a problem with genetics.

Another thing that helped rule out soil problems is that I planted a
replacement right near it and that is up and growing fine. I have also seen
some other posts that tell of problems with this seed. It's relative the 815
seems to be getting great reports though. You just never know with Atlantic
Giants what your going to get.
