we have had record high temps and well , I wasn't ready for it to say the
least. Good God, Here are the highs in the patch for the past 4 days, 86,
94,95, and 84. Its crazy. Last night a thunderstorm rolled through and
absolutly destroyed the cloches. I had a roof of plastic some 25 feet up in
a
tree for crying out loud. I hunkered down the babies with wide 5 gallon
buckets with 50 pound cinder blocks on top, and let mother nature do her
thing. I awoke to skeletons for cloches, but as I took off the buckets I saw
happy warm babies smiling at me. I took note of the warm soil and superior
protection and have decided to make this night time covering a part of
everyday life until they outgrow the buckets. As it is the #469 Hester had
to
be folded up a little to get in the bucket. The 1998 pumpkin video is doing
great with some excellent footage of the destroyed cloches. >>

I wonder how many people watch us from a distance while we run around doing
these crazy things? What they must think!!

Good job, a true fanatic.
