Cara,
The pointed end of the seed is where the root comes out. Some plant it the
other way. Personal preference. Most , I would guess, plant pointed end down.
Some say the shell of the seed comes off easier if planted pointed side up. If
you're undecided, plant it flat. If they are good seeds with good germinating
conditions, they will come up no matter how you plant them.
