My vine started off in the wrong direction so I have been gently guiding
it to grow in the right direction. Yesterday I pushed it a bit too much
and it cracked about 1/2 way through about 6 inches from the tip. The
whole vine is only about 2 feet long. What would be the best thing to
try at this point:
1) leave it alone; or
2) cut it off at the crack and let a secondary vine take over?
Should I do anything to treat the crack or the cut if I end up cutting
it? Its clean and clear of the soil. Otherwise the plant seems fine at
this point. It was getting a bit crowded in my 4x4 cold frame (together
with the electric heater) so I set up a larger 8 x 6 cold frame for it
and put in the soaker hoses in the soil for watering.
