Boring Oregon Update

Well, I had to put the last two seedlings in the field yesterday.... A
little earlier than I wanted since they were only about 3 inches high
and just seed leaves, but the roots were beginning to come out of the
peat pot..(Bigger pots next year!!!)..Hopefully I can keep the slugs off
them so they can grow.

Question: Are slugs and rabbits generally a problem with pumkins????

Question: HOw early should I start with the fertilizer?

That makes three plants in the field....That is probably all I have room
for..which is good due to my inept germination abilities (5 for 10) and
my daughters "over attention" to a few plants resulting in dead
seedlings (broken stems)......I only have three to grow this year....

Weather here seems good for the garden...warm, with some rain
expected.....

life here in Boring is starting to get interesting!!!!!
