These are good points Mike. I think the main reason to involve the GPC
in weigh-off dates is that they are by far ( 80%) the largest pumpkin
organization and they should be involved with advancing the sport
further across the country in a public manner. I personally think the
GPC should establish regional competition awards as well as their
international competition in order to spark interest in areas of the
country where AG growing has yet to take hold.
