This is actually called "The Great White North Pumpkin Fair and Weigh-Off"
which is held at Smoky Lake, Alberta. They are a member of the Great
Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC). Smoky Lake itself is a small town located to the
northeast of Edmonton. I don't know if there is an actual membership. I've
been there twice and simply paid an entry fee (came in 7th in 1995 at 336
pounds and 11th in 1997 at 449). You can write to them at: Smoky Lake
Pumpkin Growers, Box 71, Bellis, Alberta, Canada T0A 0J0. There is also a
contact phone number in the brochure if you'd rather call. 403-636-2183.
