Re: Grower locale map

I would be pleased if you would stick a pin to your'e map in the town of
Marshfield, Ma., just thirty or so miles south of Boston along the coast.

Regarding information about weighoff sites; Two years ago, the Marshfield
Fair, An event held for well over one hundred years, had it's first Giant
Pumpkin contest. The town paper had published an article prior to the growing
season about the upcoming weighoff. This was the beginning of my interests in
pumpkins Because this is an early season weighoff, about the fifteenth of
August, the pumpkins are not very large. But the competition has been good.
The first year I entered the contest, I had no idea what I was up against. The
next I felt good about my accomplishments. First place last year was won by
Mark Woodward with a 400 pound entry and second by James Kuhn with a 390 pound
plus pumpkin. Many of you know that Kuhn and Woodward were first and second
place winners at the much larger fair held in early October In Topsfield, Ma.
