Early Growing tips

If the soil is to wet for tilling, then you need to focus on a small
planting area that needs to be kept dry. I constructed a plastic 10x10
shelter to keep this area dry. You can even expedite your growing area
with addition heating source. Once you feel your 10x10 growing area is
dry enough, then till this area for planting. When the surrounding
soil becomes drier, then you can finish your tilling. Don't wait for
the whole patch to dry, when all you need is a 10x10 area to start with.

With the area tilled and the plant in the ground, place a sheet of black
plastic around your plant. This will heat the soil which provides a
healthier growing environment for the pumpkins.. If you use black
plastic versus porous material, place a soaker hose under the plastic.

I hope this helps.....
