Below are the top 10 performing seeds compiled from the 525 pumpkins and
squash in our database. They were rated on both the quality (weight) of
the first generation offspring as well as quantity. Pumpkins for whom we
have less than six recorded first generation offspring were not
considered to eliminate any 'one hit wonders'. In terms of sheer
quantity, the 567.5 Mombert was the hands-down winner with 40 first
generation offspring averaging 743.8 pounds. Pretty impressive.
