Bev, 

I am experimenting with using the large clear containers from the deli
counter for potting in. You can see your root development at all times.
I Am consideriing not even putting holes in the bottom for drainage
since at this stage you shouldn't be using that much water anyway. Some
say the roots like it dark so I will protect them from the light with
tinfoil. Use them upside down with the bottom cut off and place the lid
on now for the bottom. That way, when planting the patch, you can take
the bottom lid off, place it in the prepared hole, and slip the
container off over the seedling.
