Re: my 977

Bev & Pumpkins,

It seems from the reports the 977 has turned out to be a dud, at least a dud
of a seedling. Of my (5) - 977 starts (4) sprouted in 46 hrs. after soaking
for 8 hrs. They then sat and did nothing. Of the second (2) - 977 starts,
one went in the ground along with a 1006 Greer. Both the 1006 and 977 are
behaving similar in that neither are doing much. Cotyledens on both plants
are curled and the first true leafs are blistered looking. I am going to
wait until they begin to vine out before making the cut. It is possible the
plant could snap out of it if allowed to mature but then again perhaps not?
Best thus far is a Eaton 853, however this plant was started on May 10th and
has 4 true leafs.

Best of Luck to All!
Chris
