What is your source of 10" peat pots, I have not been able to locate
anything larger than the 4" ??
--MAYBE THEY'RE NOT REALLY "PEAT POTS"--MORE LIKE THE POTS YOU BUY
HANGING GERANIUMS IN. THEY DO ABSORB SOME WATER, THOUGH, WHICH MAKES
THEM A BETTER FOR GROWING PLANTS THAN, SAY, A 1 GAL. MILK JUG.
NIC WELTY WROTE THAT HE MOVES HIS SEEDLINGS FROM THE 4" PEAT POT TO
SLIT 5 GAL. BUCKETS WHEN THE ROOT REACHES THE BOTTOM OF THE 4" POT.
THAT SOUNDS LIKE A REALLY GOOD METHOD TO ME. I'VE JUST WORRIED THAT
I MIGHT NOT CATCH IT BEFORE THE ROOTS START TO GET CONSTRICTED, SO I
GOT STRAIGHT FROM ZIPLOCK BAGGIE TO 1 GALLON POT.
I THINK THAT IF YOU WERE TO POKE FOUR OR FIVE HOLES IN THE BOTTOM OF
THE SMALLER PEAT POT, THEN YOU'D SEE THE ROOT POPPING OUT (PROBABLY
AROUND THE 48 HR? POINT OR SO.
