Well pumpkin people, we got a new addition to our family yesterday. Rocky,
Jr. popped out of the soil Sunday morning and it only took him 4 days. I
was beginning to think the 1400's were impossible to grow. Three other
seeds still haven't done anything. The other seeds were filed, soaked for
two hours, put between damp paper towels in zip-loc, and placed on heating
pad May 1st. May 15th they hadn't done anything, but weren't rotten, so I
put them in peat pots in the greenhouse. Still nothing from them. Now,
Rocky, Jr. is another story. I filed, then soaked him for 12 hours, then
stuck him in a peat pot, in a plastic growing tray with clear plastic lid,
on a heating pad (85 degrees) AND with a grow light on it. And, it only
took four days. Ah - the miracle of birth.
