Hey all, maybe you can help me with a small problem that's got me worried.
My 506 Shapiro (which in all other aspects is growing exceptionally well) has
developed bright yellow spots on the leaves. These spots are actually part of
the leaf and not something growing on top. Some of the leaves also have an
airbrushed look of yellow turning to green. I wasn't particularly worried at
first, thinking that this was just a natural color trait as the plant was
growing well. But (there's always a "but") now the yellow spots are turning
into holes in my leaves, and that's got me very worried....a little side
competition with LIpumpkin could turn ugly if my plant bite's the dust in
it's third week. These spots run from pinhead size to about 1/2" in diameter.
I was very careful not to get any fertilizer granules on the leaves that
could cause holes and it seems thatsome of the new leaves are opening with
these spots already there. The 727 Greer in the same patch seems fine.
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated........Russ DeSantis
