Use a sharp knife that was dipped in bleach solution (1 part chlorine bleach 
to 10 parts water), and make a smooth cut if there are rough edges where the 
break was. Then make a paste out of Captan powder (it is a fungicide sold at 
most garden centers) and a little water. Apply this paste to the cut edges 
and over the general area where the injury is. Basically this will help to 
prevent infection, and your plant should be fine.
