Lyle,
I had a flat vine last year and did not know soon enough to dead end the
vine.( I was getting to much a kick out of watching it grow UP^-AKA the
pumpkin tree)Mine develpoed a side vine on it's own.It polinated in late
August and produced a 328 lb. fruit.If I had Cut it back early in the
season,who knows what I could have had.
