Mike,
Don't be so quick to give up! You might find a patch somewhere else that you
can rent. I used to rent garden land. It's harder to get to it than just
stepping outside, but it can be very worthwhile.
Perhaps you can put an ad in a local paper or just ask around. Good luck!!
