Hi Bill -
I know you are in Canada, and I don't know how much U.S. news you follow,
but perhaps you could send the pumpkin/squash question to the good folks
down in Florida and let them hash it out!
Barbara, Tim?? Any input from you Floridians??
Beth

The Rules say; both GPC & WPC. 25% + green -blue or grey
is squash.
Looking at all the pictures - there seems to be a great variance
from site to site
in what is called pumpkin & what is called squash
470 + pictures.
We are forming a new association, this subject came up at our last
weigh off,
we would like direction & definite means of deciding pumpkin or
squash before
making rules that apply to our weigh off only.
One comment made was that the rules do not exclude the bottom of the
pumpkin
in the %. color.
Any advice from anyone with past experience will be greatly
appreciated before we make
rules & have no means other than human preferences to decide
this issue. I thank you.
