Re: PVP, Was: Seed collection

$1725.00!

Seventeen hundred and twenty five dollars???

I had to go see this for myself. Yes indeed, go to the completed
items and take a look. I wonder if the seller will get that
when the dust has settled.

On the other hand... don't worry about it folks. There aren't
that many fools out there. Yes, there are some, but this
auction was driven by five individuals who apparently have
more money than brains. (Oh, I guess I'm snipping...)

Most of the other auctions are for two bucks, five bucks, etc.
I think the "idiot" market is very small and will dry up at any
moment.

Keep in mind, that each and every seed is genetically different.
Even those from the same pumpkin have different genes. Sure, your
odds are better with those that have a history. But consider this:
Geneva Emmons can go 1262, around 1200 and two more around 1000
with four different seeds in the same year. Maybe the seeds aren't
the dominant factor!

Maybe if your focus is on some grand prize of $10,000 or more,
maybe this drives that price. But if you gave the best seed in
the world to me, I'd probably do no better than 500 pounds. I
just don't have the effort and technique down yet.

Ah, I gotta get back to work,

Regards, Cliff in Idaho
