Selfing etc
Inspired by the experiments in cloning and crossing, I experimented this
year, taking two seeds from the SAME FRUIT and planting them 18 inches
apart so that they received identical nutrients and identical care,
identical weather and identical opportunities to attract varmints -
identical nurture to match their presumably identical nature.
Plant No. 1 grew round fruit that were orange from the start.
Plant No. 2 grew more typical AG misshapen & elongated fruit that were
still cream-colored when they were harvested.
Has anyone else done anything similar? With what results?
Thanks!
Kathie
