Re: Southeastern Growers Conference

Hi List,

I think there is a big miss understanding about the AGGC site. I to was omitted from the AGGC site. I emailed Mike directly asking him how much he wanted for me to donate to help maintain the site. He emailed me back and said since I contribute information to the site that he would re instate my access to his site. He did so very promplty. For those who think he is in it for the money are sadly mistaken and the accusations are unjust. All it takes is a little common sense and ask mike directly why you where omitted. Even if he did charge a nominal fee, why shouldn't he, just imagine how much personal time it takes to maintain that site. I don't see anyone else picking up the ball and developing a site(including myself) that would contain as much info as Mike has prepared. This list is about growing pumpkins, helping new comers, and providing advice or insight into growing practices among all the growers. Lets stop complaining and whining, filling everyones in box with useless emails about nothing that are better off private. If this continues we will lose more growers on the list and will not be able to further increase weights. If anyone disagrees email me private and blast me, because I really think this whole topic is so STUPID.

Katie: That just depends on how you look at it. The AGGC site was suppose to be a
cooperative, now its a payer use site, haven't a problem with that if Mike had said this
in the first place & not let us believe that what we were doing, gathering information,
making people feel they should provide it & compiling it was worth while. I for one feel
used, can't even get on site to see what I submitted is put up in 2001. I feel mike has really
used some of us just to test his real intentions. Just the view from here, not a happy guppy.
