Deer Trouble - revisited

So, I was pontificating the other day about these two techniques used to
keep deer out of gardens. I mentioned how I put dog hair clippings around
my garden and give my dog the run of the yard, etc.

Then yesterday I see this big buck having lunch in my vegetable garden
sampling my swiss chard, spinach and lettuce (the only vegies still growing
in the garden.) He looked up at me, then went back to grazing. And, I'm
thinking where's my dog!

The last time I laid dog hair, must have been the middle to end of August,
two months or more. Perhaps you need to to re-fresh your perimeter with
clippings more often and two months is to long a period to wait.

I really don't mind now that I got my seed crops in, and can share the rest
of the greens with the deer. But, my wife is really excited that her
friends are back.

So Marv: How's that fence building coming along?
