Big pictures

Hello,

I am sorry to hear that there are those on the list who don't care about the
inconvenience caused to other less fortunate members who are not able to
quickly download large pictures (even to the point of shunning and
ridiculing them for their speaking up).

This issue was also a hot one in the spring, shortly after I subscribed and
I thought that a compromise had been agreed upon at that time. By placing a
reasonable limit on the size of unsolicited pictures, it appeared that the
problem had been solved -- or so I thought. However, I guess there will
always be those people who's attitude is, if you can't keep up with them
it's just too bad for you. You'll just have to suffer.

This suprises me, since the whole premise of this group is people helping
eachother and everyone is otherwise treated with great generosity,
thoughtfulness and helpfulness. Is the possession of less desireable
computer equipment where some members of this group draw the line in their
willingness to be congenial? It's not like they don't have any other means
to make their pictures available to those who wish to see them. What's so
bad about posting an address where your picture can be viewed or letting
people request you to send it? If I'm way off base, I apologize.

I certainly don't want to offend anyone or make any enemies, and I sure
don't want to be blackballed from any seed lists. But on the other hand, I
don't want to be afraid to politely offer my point of view.

Whatever happens with this issue, I'll live with it (although I obviously
have my preference) since the group is full of kind, big-hearted, helpful
people for the most part, and there is much to be gained by membership.

I really hope my comments aren't construed as whining by those don't
necessarily agree with what I've said. Issues should promote healthy
discussion, not anger or insulting shots.
