That would be nice. You could make the same argument about
your stereo or wallet being stolen I guess.
Unfortunately the main reason that pumpkins are stolen in my
neighborhood is so that they can be rolled down a very long
very steep very straight busy street until they break apart
or hit something. With a multi-hundred pound pumpkin this
can cause quite a bit of damage to houses and parked cars,
not to mention oncoming traffic.
I try to be an optimist but young people need to learn
lessons and limits and if that means a night in jail or
some rock salt in the butt so be it.
