I'm not going to any symposium, but although we too till our garden,
according to "Gardening Naturally" hosted by a gentleman who runs a mountain
top agricultural school in Vermont, says double digging is much better than
tilling because tilling eventually causes a dead pan at the soil level below
the depth of the tiller tines.
