Hello Bob,
We're posting this on the list so it is open for everyone's suggestions.
This is our results from A&L Western Labs.
l = low
m = medium
h = high
vh = very high
vl = very low
organic matter - 5%
phosphorus (weak bray) - 165 vh
(olsen method) - 97 vh
potassium - 155 m
magnesium - 267 h
calcium - 1796 h
sodium - 16 vl
ph - 6.8
hydrogen - .4
cation exchange capacity (cec) - 12
percent cation saturation (computed) -
%k 3.3 %mg 18.3 %ca 74.8 %h 3 %na .6
nitrogen - 15 m
sulfur - 4 l
zinc - 8.3 vh
manganese - 9 m
iron - 31 vh
copper - 1.1 m
boron - 1.5 h
excess lime rate - low
soluble salts - .7 m
recommendation: we specified AG's, and the rate they suggested is
LB/1,000 sq ft.
1.7 nitrogen
3.0 potash
.6 sulfur
Does this mean I go out there with 1.7 pounds of nitrogen and spread it
on my garden?
This doesn't sound like much, would it even be worth it, or is it very
potent? I would like to point out that this is the first time I've ever
been in the 6's for ph, I've always been mid 7's or up. So, I think the
sulfur I spread last fall helped. I spread 15 pounds on 1,600 sq ft.
Thanks Bob, and everyone!
