Getting the maximum from your maximas

Beth, Broc, Roger, Dan, and All:

I think its important to accept the idea that in an endeavor like this one
there are many different ways to go about the same project. This is
science, and I have great respect for anyones approach.

Roger: Your colchicine experiments are interesting. I have seen many
proven and distinct advantages of diploidized plants in other
crops.....especially certain flowers. However, in having a constructive
conversation about it several good issues have come up. It would be great
to find out if in fact you are diploidizing your plants. Maybe you could
contact a local University and verify this next year. Perhaps you would
be interested setting up an experiment with some plants treated and some
not, and try to compare the results.

Broc & Tim

I can respect your goal in growing AGS, and can relate to the excitement
and interesting pumpkins at different weigh-ins. I would guess that there
is no "best" answer......but instead the collective efforts of us all
pursueing "our-best-idea" will lead the sport into the future.

Later,

Rick
