Re: leaves

We use loads of leaves every year, mostly sugar maple and pin oak.
All of the leaves are mulched before they are put on and then tilled in
as soon as possible, this mixes them with the soil better and they
break down more rapidly. Oak leaves due have more acid than maple so we
use them on the areas with higher pH. Maple leaves contain a growth
inhibiting substance but it leaches out over winter.
