Bothered by so many Emails ?

Fred & others -
If you don't like getting some many posts every day,
they way around this is to sign on to the
pumpkin-digest
not just pumpkins...
send an email to

majordomo@mallorn.com

use no subject
in the body put only this as shown

UNSUBSCRIBE PUMPKINS
SUBSCRIBE PUMPKINS-DIGEST

see:
http://www.backyardgardener.com/pumpmail.html
for complete instructions or questions.
(try the help feature- formore list information,
like everyone who is signed up on the list)

it the same thing only you get a big
email once or twice a day, instead of everysingle one.
then you can run through it quickly, and just read the
ones you want to.
The other way around this, is to sign up for the
pumpkin-digest. then delete the digest when it comes,
and just read the posts as they show up on the
archives. This way you are not a 1/2 or whole day
behind the conversation. The archives are at:
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/pumpkins/nov99/maillist.html
This is what I do... I put it as a bookmark (all you
have to do is update it monthly)

I'm sorry and I don't mean to complain but it seems
that for every
informative email posted to this sight there is about
30 which have nothing
to do with anything. I recieve perhaps 30 to 50 emails
a day and going
through them is starting to be a chore. If I leave for
a couple of days and
find 100 and 40 of them are private notes and get well
wishes it gets a
little time consuming. Don't get me wrong, I like this
list and I find it
very informative (sometimes) but of the 6 special
interests lists I belong
to this is the one which is in the most need of
tighter monitoring. Thanks
for letting me vent.
