It's sad to say, I'm so surprised to see this mailing
list go to pot. I operate four mailing list and the
other three stay within the guidelines of there
mailing list.
Whenever I tighten the loose here, I get a revolt and
a new mailing list is created to bock my
recommendations.
I get people emailing me to remove this person or to
inform me on what is going on.
Did I get out of the wrong side of the bed? Who
knows..
Did you know this mailing list has received press
coverage on the support we provide. It is to bad, the
new members have to come into this mailing list to
read all the negative inputs.
To tell you honestly, I am very disappointed on how
this mailing list has turned into. I am at the point
to have a no tolerance policy. But If I say anything
in this nature, I will have someone come and complain
that I can't do such a thing and I should leave things
alone. Then a revolt will come about...and someone
will send out a mass email message to transfer
everyone to another mailing list.
The only way to solve this problem is to monitor the
mailing list to allow only pumpkin related post. But I
can't do this, because I will get a revolt if I take
such action.
You would be surprise how many people have
unsubscribed from the mailing list due to topics that
do not support the scope of pumpkin growing.
I personally do not want to see any more negative
discussions. I don't want to see causal conversation
between two people. I don't want to see someone
comment on every post that is presented. I use to
support people in the past, and I was tagged "Duncan
Delete" so I stop supporting people due to the opinion
of others.
I would like to see this mailing list get back on
track and discuss the issue on growing pumpkins.
We are at low point in pumpkin growing for the
Northern Hemisphere, but have you ever considered
supporting the Southern Hemisphere growers? I know
most of them have left this group and created there
own mailing list due to the lack of support.
Running a mailing list is not a fun job. This job does
not pay anything.
Did you know all your posts are archived for life, and
people will be reading your post forever? So I would
watch what you say, because it could bite you in the
future.
As what Rodney King stated "Can we all get along"
Lets discuss pumpkin growing and help one another in
achieving a new pumpkin record.
