Re: Cold Weather - Advice Needed

Kevin,
as soon as you get into town.. go to eat
at a local dinner type place...
strike up a conversation with some locals and
ask if you can park yoru truck in their
garage... maybe a car repair shop ? people
from nebraska are good folks... i'd
bet you could find a place, if you explain
your situatioin and just ask.
i'm wouldn't normally be that bold either
... but for your pumpkin. so, i say go for it

if your not that bold.
put a lot of warm water bottles around,
cover the pumpkin up with lots of blankets
camping foams, and a big tarp over the top
over everything down to the ground.
park right next to a brick big wall or building.
maybe even between to big rigs at a truck stop.

btw: pumpkins are fruit.

good luck

Be sure to stop at the Cabellas store in Sidney -
just to take a look at all of their stuffed animals
and large fish tank. it's just right of I-80.

........................
I'm planning on loading this vegetable into my truck
and driving from
Colorado to the weigh off in Anamosa, Iowa. I will
have to stop over night
along the way in Nebraska. Over night lows in
Nebraska are forecast to be
22 degrees. How do I keep this pumpkin from freezing
when it is parked
outside in my truck?
