How to get a large pumpkin through a small door

I grew a 287 pound AG in my garden in Philadelphia this year, and this
presented a bit of a problem when it came to getting the fruit out of the
yard for the Altoona weigh off. Our row house (and our yard) is 17 feet
wide, with doors no wider than 30 inches, and our yard has no street access.
So we had to carry the pumpkin over 3 four foot tall fences and through a
narrow driveway to the truck waiting on the street.

All told, the operation went very well, and only took about 10 minutes with
a team of 6 shuttling the pumpkin at shoulder height across the fences and
through the narrow passageway to the street. If you're interested, I've
posted photos of the ordeal at http://www.cramton.com/users/james/pumpkins

Enjoy!
