I recently discovered that if you grew a pumpkin from a seed line
whose genetics are already documented in the AGGC, you can add
your OWN information on growing it to the existing (original) database record...
You can add in comments on how the seed grew for you, what your results
were, positive or negative characteristics, strengths, weaknesses noted, etc.
Once logged onto the AGGC-
Select: "Pumpkin Information".
Highlight a fruit/seed, and hit the "Grower Comments" button.
>From the resulting page, you can hit "Add new comment", and
add in your name, email address, and comments.
Or you can select an existing comment for review.
As an example, take a look at the entry I've added for the 535 Wolf 99*.
This kind of information is invaluable to others when they're making
their seed planting choices in the Spring. I've often wondered just
I might expect from a seed when I have 2 or more seed lines with
equally good-looking heritage. Usually, you have no idea who else may
have ever grown it, and how they did. This is a great opportunity for us
all to provide seed feedback that will be available to anyone
for the life of the seed stock.
