Question about wind protection.

I would like to get your guys' opinion on something. I am moving my
patch so I have more room for next year, and I am concerned about wind
damage. Where I live most of the wind and summer storms come the west to
southwest. I was wondering if 6' tall corn would be tall enough for a
wind break or should I go with 10' tall corn. The only concern about 10'
tall corn is they would block more of the evening sun. What do you
think?
