Leaf Question

What do you all know about using different types of leaves in the garden?
We know maple leaves are good. We know oak leaves take longer to break
down, but they are still good. We know black walnut trees near the patch
are bad due to some sort of chemical they exude. I assume the leaves
wouldn’t be too hot for gardens, either.

Now I’ve heard apple leaves are supposed to be excellent.

My question now is about two types of leaves I have in my yard… weeping
cherry and tulip poplar. The poplar leaves seem very similar to maple
leaves in weight and thickness. And the weeping cherry ones seem similar to
apple leaves. Does anyone have any information about these two specific
types of leaves – good or bad for the soil?

Thanks!
Beth
