Peter,

I would have to disagree. One day out of the year for weighing pumpkins is
the guidelines. You start bending the rules then you open up a whole new
political mess. What is to prevent a grower such as myself who thinks their
pumpkin is going to rott and go down to the local fair and get their pumpkin
weighed Sept 1st and then say to the GPC it should still count. I could have
weighed mine at the local fair here on Sept 2nd. Rules are rules and
everyone should abide by them.
