Errors in GPC

Wes Dwelly should be acknowlegded for growing a 1002.2 pound pumpkin at
Topsfield fair. And moved up the chart on the GPC to the appropriate place.
If there are other changes needed do it.

It is my opinion that the growers should not be penalized for some
bureaucratic issue between Topsfield, GPC and whom ever else! All four
pumpkins were in great shape. If mine had another week probably would have
made the 1000 pound club(4.2 pounds in aweek) and who knows Craig Weir may
have been the world record still.

I personally am not looking for any money out of this situation but just the
recognition of being ranked in the GPC. One of the things Don L. does not
touch on and that people have to understand is the trouble we have moving
those big boys. Jim Kuhn and I arranged for a moving van from a local
business to hall both of them together down to the fair(we live 3 miles
apart). We coordinated this with having forklifts from two other businesses
at each garden the day before Topsfield. We had loading crews 12 -13 men at
each patch. Putting this together was quit a task and an expense.

To arrange to have this process repeated the following week and driving 2 to
3 hours from NH to RI or Conn. was not feasible for us.
My thoughts.
